Grilled Burgers
Ingredients:
1lb of 80/20 ground beef
1lb of 90/10 ground beef
Burger seasoning
2tbsp butter
Instructions:
Seasoning:
See this post for burger seasoning recipe. Or use your favorite seasoning blend.
Patties:
In a large bowl, combine the ground beef and seasoning. Less is more when it comes to combining seasoning with ground beef for burgers. When mixing the seasoning and ground beef, gently fold the ingredients together trying to keep the beef from crumbling and separating. You want to avoid over mixing the beef. This will keep the finished patty from drying out during the grilling process.
Separate the ground beef mixture into 6, 1/3lb patties. You want the patties to be slightly larger than the buns you will be using, and be devoted in the middle. The divot should extend from the center of the patty to approximately half an inch from the edge.
Heat your grill to about 500°F. Rub the grill with oil, or spray with Pam for grilling.
Place the patties on the grill for 5-6 minutes total, flipping once in the middle of the cooking time. If you want your burgers more well done, cook for 8 minutes total.
In the last 2 minutes of grilling, place a slice of your preferring cheese on the patties, if desired.
Buns:
Melt butter in a microwave safe bowl. Using a brush, run the cut side of the buns with butter.
Please buns, butter side down, on the hot grill and leave until the face turns golden, approximately 1 minute.
